Our Classroom.

A place to learn. A place to play. A place to grow.

  • In our learning stations and centers, children explore skills through hands-on, focused activities. Centers include art, sensory, literacy, and play-based learning that build creativity, early reading skills, fine motor development, and problem-solving. Children rotate through centers to build independence and learn through engaging, meaningful experiences.

  • In our circle time and whole group area, children come together to learn as a community. This is where we build early skills through songs, stories, movement, and group activities. Children practice listening, participation, and social skills while engaging in fun, shared learning experiences.

  • In our reading corner, children enjoy books in a calm, cozy space. This area builds early literacy skills, imagination, and a love of reading through stories and quiet exploration.

  • In our classroom play area, you’ll see children learning through hands-on exploration, imagination, and interaction with materials and friends. This is where important skills like problem-solving, language, and social development grow naturally through play.

  • In our outdoor space, children engage in structured, imaginative play that builds gross motor skills and teamwork. Activities like parachute games, balancing, chalk, bubbles, and simple kicking or throwing games help children develop coordination, cooperation, and confidence while learning how to play and move together in a group setting.

  • Our bathroom supports independence with a step stool, small toilet seat if needed, and picture cue reminders. These tools help children build confidence and complete self-care routines in a safe, supportive space.

  • Our cubby and hook areas give each child a designated space for their backpack and belongings. This helps build independence, responsibility, and organization skills as children learn to care for their own things each day.

  • On our front porch, children wait safely at the end of the day for their parents or approved adults. For safety, children are not allowed to leave the porch area without an adult. This helps ensure a secure, supervised, and organized pick-up routine for all families.

  • Bright Grove Preschool has passed city safety inspections and is up to date to meet all safety and fire codes. Our teachers are trained in first aid and both a fire extinguisher and first aid kit are on-hand at all times. We also have a set evacuation plan that is reviewed quarterly and adjusted to meet our student’s needs. All of our employees also undergo state background checks and we operate with liability insurance.
